What the learner demonstrated
- Conditional quantitative reasoning — promising. The learner rearranged
F = maintoa = F/mand reasoned correctly under the stated condition that force is fixed. - Proportional reasoning — promising. The learner correctly concluded that doubling mass halves acceleration when net force is unchanged.
- Concept separation — promising. The learner separated mass from received force and recognised that “harder to push” refers to a lower acceleration for the same net force, not automatically to less force.
- Multi-variable causal reasoning — promising. The learner recognised that both supply and demand matter for price, and that study time is not the only determinant of grades.
- Understanding standard — promising. The learner rejected both unexplained correct prediction and explanation that fails under changed conditions as complete understanding.
Earliest limitation observed
The learner can identify that other factors exist, but has not yet shown the next step: specify which conditions matter, how they affect the conclusion, and what prediction follows.
For example, “time is only one factor” is correct, but it does not yet state the relationship among study time, study quality, prior knowledge, rest, and the assessment target.
Minimal next correction
For every broad causal statement, use this short check:
- What outcome am I explaining?
- What variable is claimed to cause it?
- What other conditions must be held roughly fixed, or explicitly included?
- What changed-case prediction would show the claim is too strong?

Precision correction
The phrase 「才能有所提升」 is still stronger than the evidence warrants: it makes all listed conditions sound strictly necessary and almost sufficient. A more scientific form is:
當學習者採用有效方法、具備足以專注的身體狀況、並配合規劃與復盤時;在其他重要條件大致相近下,增加有效的學習投入通常較可能提升之後的測驗表現與長期保留。
This is better because it names the conditions, avoids certainty, and specifies measurable outcomes.
Evidence correction
“Use experimental reports from papers” is an appropriate external validation strategy, not itself the outcome measure. The relevant reports have been recorded in Experimental evidence relevant to study conditions. They test components separately: retrieval practice/feedback, sleep plus spacing, and planning/reflection interventions.
For the learner’s own verification, measure: (1) an immediate retrieval/practice-test score, (2) a delayed score after seven days, (3) error types, and (4) time spent. Compare a defined method with the learner’s usual method on matched material.
Recommended next evidence
Design one small personal comparison with comparable material and a delayed test. Do not treat a single course-grade change as proof because topic difficulty and assessment conditions also vary.
